Introduction
A Virtual Lab Simulator is a web-based tool that allows students to perform basic lab experiments online. Instead of only reading theory, users can adjust values, run simulations, and observe how the system behaves. My simulator focuses on undergraduate engineering physics concepts to help students visualize how circuits work without needing physical components.
Why I Built This Project
I built this project because many students do not always have access to physics lab equipment. I wanted to create something simple, useful, and accessible from any browser. The goal was to make experiment concepts easier to understand through interaction instead of memorization.
How It Works (Simple Explanation)
The simulator takes user inputs that are relevant for each chosen experiment. When the simulation starts, it calculates results and updates the display. It also updates the graph and values step by step so users can visually follow the changes in the system.
In short: input values, run simulation, and observe how the setup responds over time.
Challenges Faced
One challenge was making the simulation feel smooth and responsive while updating values in real time. Another challenge was keeping the interface beginner-friendly so users can focus on learning rather than controls. I also spent time testing edge cases, such as invalid inputs and extreme values, to prevent confusing results.
What I Learned
This project taught me how to turn theory into an interactive learning tool. I improved my understanding of JavaScript logic, data visualization, and user-focused design. Most importantly, I learned that clear explanations and simple interactions can make technical topics much easier to learn.
Latest Update
I am actively adding more experiments and improving existing features over time to make the simulator more useful and engaging.
